Swim Team
Overview
The Kenilworth Swim Team is a great way for beginner and advanced swimmers to participate in a competitive swim program, developing their skills while creating friendships in a team environment! The Swim Team is a summer league program, and the team is a member of the Greater Baton Rouge Swim League. Practices are held throughout the months of May and June. Swimmers compete in meets against other Baton Rouge clubs, and in the City Championship meet at the end of June. All member children are encouraged to participate!
Who Can Participate?
Any child who is 5 years or older, can swim with little or no assistance for the entire length of the pool. Children 4 years or younger may participate as long as they can swim the entire length of the pool. (Swim evaluations available on May 10 3-5 PM, you can register after evaluations if you have any question which group to be with)
When Does It Start?
Practices will begin Monday, May 11th, and continue every week until the City Meet. We will offer afternoon practices throughout the month of May and then offer morning practices starting after Memorial Day. Practices in May will be based on age group. After Memorial Day, all age groups will practice at the same time.

Notes
- 5 and older, may be 4 years old if they can swim entire length of pool without assistance
- 6-12 kids per lane with 2 coaches for each group
- Encouraged to participate in swim meets
Cost:
$140 per child
REGISTRATION FEE: The swim team fee is $140.00 for each child participating on the Swim Team. This helps to pay for coaches’ salaries and awards.
Swim Team practice will take place at the KENILWORTH pool facility and will utilize the entire main pool for practice!
